The 911 G-models with wider bumpers were manufactured between 1974 and 1989.
The 2.7-liter 911s and the Carrera 3.0 built between 1974 and 1977 offer the best value for money of any air-cooled 911 model.
These cars show the transition from the 911 F-series being a fairly raw car to a more comfortable auto aimed at a wider buying market.
Due to their relatively good price-performance ratio, the 2.7 in particular (Coupé or Targa) have a lot to offer and are among the best air-cooled 911s.
These cars may not be the most powerful 911s on the market, but it’s important to understand that in most other measures, they’re nearly identical to their stablemates.
With 150 hp (911) and 175 hp (911S), the 2.7s have performances that equate them to the previous 911T and E.
The 911 2.7 liters with K-Jetronic injection are relatively simple in terms of technology and the mechanics are generally robust.
The main interest of the 2.7 S is the bodywork which is the same as on the F-series, the G-series bumpers have just been adapted to the narrow body.
This means that the 2.7 S is an F-series dressed in G-series. The bodywork will change with the Carrera3.0 with wider rear fenders.
The mechanical parts of this 2.7 S, engine, gearbox, clutch, brakes, suspensions, ignition were restored less than 5 years ago and have not covered more than 10,000 km.
The body has been repainted in its original gray color. This car is 100% original, never restored.
It was used for rallies like: The Coupe des Alpes, the Entre-Deux-Mers, it was at Le Mans Classic and so on…
It is absolutely reliable, powerful and comfortable.
Ready to use, it will bring anywhere like back in the days…
