The Mercedes-Benz W126 represents the second generation of the prestigious “Sonderklasse” series, now known as the S-Class. Launched in 1979 as a saloon, the range was expanded in 1981 with the introduction of an elegant coupé version, the C126. Renowned for its refinement, the W126 offered a wide selection of engines, with the V8 versions standing out for their smoothness, power, and reliability.

This revolutionary model also marked a milestone in automotive safety, becoming the first European car to feature a standard airbag, combined with a seatbelt pretensioner.
