Launched in 1973 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the BMW 2002 Turbo was an event in itself.
First mass-produced car equipped with a turbo engine.
With its 170 horsepower and 240Nm of torque, it was even the fastest BMW ever produced at that time.
Offering forty more horsepower than the 2002 Tii, with an advertised top speed of 210 km/h.
This 1974 BMW 2002 Turbo is one of 1,672 examples built during its two years of production.
Sporting a beautiful white shade -Chamonix weiss-, it is of course flanked by the famous red and blue stripes.
It features the famous 2-litre turbocharged in-line 4-cylinder, combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
To this are added in particular a limited slip differential, BBS rims in 2 parts of 15 inches of the most beautiful effect, or even inside the semi-bucket seats in black imitation leather.
Completely restored a few years ago to a very high standard and without budget limit, it is presented today in exceptional condition.
The body panels are aligned and adjusted and show perfect flatness.
All the specific elements of the interior are present and functional.
The engine and all the mechanical elements are up to the rest of the car, the turbo responds to the slightest request.
A large file of invoices shows the care taken in its upkeep.
This BMW 2002 Turbo is certainly the best currently on the market.
