The year is 1993. It had been 23 years since the “DB” name last appeared on an Aston Martin. While the DB7 heralded the return of the David Brown badge, it was also the car that would become the spearhead of the English firm. Produced in 7,092 units, it surpassed the production figures of its predecessors DB4, DB5 and DB6. Initially equipped with a Jaguar six-cylinder, the range was soon extended to include a Cosworth V12.
The first DB7s were produced as coupes, and it wasn’t until 1996 that the “Volante” convertible made its appearance. The first Vantage was also eagerly awaited, and was finally presented at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show. That same year, the DB7 lost its 6-cylinder version, which had become less attractive.
This beautiful Aston Martin DB7 is a Vantage Volante version. First registered in August 1999, it was one of the first in its range. The car comes with a file of maintenance invoices showing that it has always been properly looked after. As proof, the logbook has been stamped since it first took to the wheel. Its color combination – blue exterior, white and blue interior – makes it unique and elegant. The electric soft top functions normally. The car starts without a hitch to the sound of the 426-hp V12. This DB7 has only covered 49,000 kilometers. It’s a rare opportunity to come across a DB7 in such a livery.
