The Ferrari 360 Modena was introduced in 1999 as the successor to the F355. Although it retained the architecture of the V8 in a central rear position, the 360 had nothing in common with its predecessor. In fact, this new Berlinetta is Ferrari’s first all-aluminum production model. From the chassis to the bodywork, including the suspension wishbones, it adopts this metal to save weight. The result on the scales: 1,290kg unladen for the coupe version.
It takes its name from the city of Modena, birthplace of Enzo Ferrari. The design is by Pininfarina, and stands out from previous models, notably thanks to the disappearance of the honeycomb grille. The 360 Modena adopts a modern style, both aesthetically and mechanically. While the manual gearbox is still present, an F1 version will also be presented, with the major advantage over the F355 of a throttle adjustment for smoother gearshifts. The result is a sportier, more comfortable car.
Our example is dated 2003. The car’s original Rosso Corsa paintwork is in very good condition. The interior is finished in beige, contrasting with the classic black interiors. The car is fitted with Genuine 18″ multi-spoke wheels, adding a sporty touch. The car has always been well maintained and comes with a stamped service book.
The F1 gearbox works normally. Since 2003, it has covered just 48,266 kilometers.
This 360 Modena coupé is a great opportunity to join the Ferrari club with a characterful berlinetta at a still reasonable price.
