The Bentley Mark V was Rolls-Royce’s second Bentley model.
Intended to be announced at the Earl’s Court Motor Show scheduled for late October 1939, it had much in common with its predecessor.
The Mark V was sold only as a bare chassis intended to be fitted with bodywork from the coachbuilder of the owner’s choosing. This was the last Bentley Derby; after the war production moved to Crewe.
The model presented dates from 1948 and was bodied by James Young.
Sold to its owner by Ivor Beaney several years ago, it has been used very regularly on Luxembourg roads ever since.
Restored in England in the 1980s, this Bentley shows a beautiful patina of use.
This is clearly not a competition car but rather a pleasant car for a nice Sunday stroll at the wheel of an old-fashioned class car, a trip to another era.
